A Fond Farewell

Today marks the last day of our Nomadic Adventure. Jim and I are so grateful for all that we have seen and learned about ourselves. It has been a very memorable year. Thank you to everyone who went with us on our journey and helped to make it so special. I leave you with a short picture walk down memory lane of our beautiful homes with their extraordinary views. Life is a journey...make it a memorable one.

Our New Resolution

For our final car hike,
we decided to make some new resolutions.

We will return to the Rockies

We will buy a 4WD

We will not wear wool

We will not squat

or drain our lizard in
the wilderness ever again

Follow The Tiny Dirt Road

Turn right off of any mountain road
and discover a dirt road
that winds it's way to sprawling vistas
tree-top camp sights
and trails that lead to more
scenic and beautiful places
then you begin to narrow your focusand develop an ideal perspective
on the benefits
of taking lots of right turns

Our First Car Hike

began in a torrential downpourthat turned to ice at 10,000 feetand created the perfect environment
for a car picnicAfter lunch, we continued on our 4WD hikealong the Snake River
until miraculously, we stumbled upon
this wide-open meadowwhere rock slides and peaks were abundantand these tiny cabins spotted the terrain
in an old mining town that
was definitely out for revenge
