went into the Hot Springs

where they had a hot-looking

lifeguard on duty

And, a photographer in a cowboy hat

was there with her sister Jackie

and that allowed the blogger

a few minutes of rest

before we tunneled out

through the canyon

and along the rivers edge

until we finally made it home

Raft or Duckie?

Ready for just about anything
when this 3 legged dog (Tripod)waddles by
and we get fitted with a life vest

for a ride down the river with Cap'n Charlie in a big rubber raft and a first aid kit

This picture was taken just before we launchedand river rescuers were practicing

their life saving skills next to us

The duckies launched first.

They were great navigators

when it was calm

But it wasn't always calm

It got a little rough and legs went flying

That made Stacy jumpy

But, she was too chicken to jump from the top

Even so, she earned a spot

in the hot springs

and we all had a yummy rock picnic

But in the end, Stacy and Jim

took it in the pants for the team

who hosted us for a round at

the Summit Course at Cordillera

where the golf carts are dwarfed by the trees

and the trees are dwarfed by the homes

And, you take solace in the fact

that some things are higher than you

until you hit a 5 iron and land

this close to the pin

or celebrate a killer drive

that renews your faith in the game

and teaches you that golf is a game 
about friendships, not brain surgery
